However this sweet young girl who played Miley Stewart/Hannah Montane started to slowly change and become more rebels as she grew up. In April 2008 the 15 year old Miley Cyrus posed nude for an Annie Leibovitz shoot for Vanity Fair. This was just the start of her decent from the sweet hearted young girl who played Miley and all children looked up to her. A year later Miley cirrus performed at the teen choice awards however it was not the stereotypical perforce you would expect. Miley Appeared on stage live with a pole and proceeded to perform a pole dance while singing her song to the millions of people watching and at the teen choice awards.

Miley Ray Cyrus was born on the 23rd November 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee U.S. She first appeared in minor roles in the television series Doc and the film Big Fish in her childhood. She then boosted her career with becoming a teen idol through her part Miley Stewart in the show Hannah Montane, in 2006. This is the show which launched her acting and singing career.

As the years go on Miley Cyrus’s image change substantially from what once was the sweet innocent girl who was a teen idle for all children is now performing poll dances on live TV, setting a bad example for her fans. In 2010 she was caught smoking and this hit the press, when Miley was confronted about it she claimed it was salvia which is a legal drug in California. We now see this rebels side of Miley start to emerge and replace the once sweet innocent image she had.

Then in august 2012 we see Miley completely wipe the slate clean of her old self as Hannah and create a new image. Miley Cyrus was always known for her long gold blond hair and then in August she had the buzz cut and had it all chopped off. She stated that “ I could never see my self again with long hair again I just feel so much more like myself now” This was the start to the completely new Miley of which we know today as poll dancing, twerking and appearing in her music video nude.

In June 2013, Miley releases a music video for the song “we can’t stop” which is a very unusual video which is bringing out the new image of herself. We see Miley appear in tight fitting costume which is sexualising her of to her audience however at 1 point we see her dancing with giant tedy bares and wearing one of them on her back.
Then in September 2013 Miley takes the next step from tight fitting clothing to being fully undressed on camera throughout a music video while riding a wrecking ball. This sent a shock through the music industry as this was completely unexpected. She made herself completely sexualised and mixed this with a heavy industrial theme to appeal to a wider audience.
